Our HSFA Knitting talent at Mountview Frailcare

Our HSFA Knitting talent at Mountview Frailcare

A special thank you goes out to our wonderful residents at HSFA Mountview Frailcare, Joan Moen and Edith Hofmeyr, for their incredible dedication and generosity. Over the past few months, Joan and Edith have been tirelessly knitting beautiful crafts, which they have now graciously donated to Heartlands Baby Sanctuary.
This heartwarming effort bridges the gap between generations, showcasing the kindness and creativity of our elderly community members, and bringing joy to the little ones at Heartlands.

HSFA and our knitting champions

HSFA and our knitting champions

The HSFA has several volunteer teams of eager residents knitting in chatty groups making numerous knitted squares, jerseys, scarves, beanies and dolls. These will be donated to needy communities, especially with the winter months looming ahead. Our residents have asked for the Somerset Community to please support their efforts by donating balls of “Double Wool”. Should you wish to assist, please drop off at HSFA Security Gate, 121 Lourensford Road. We will ensure they are distributed to our kind residents to continue their knitting activities. #knitting #somersetwest #somersetwes
