Frail Care Resident brings Bronze Bust of Nelson Mandela to Life
We are proud to celebrate the extraordinary talent of one of our Frail Care resident, Mr Karel van Biljon (84), who created this magnificent bronze bust of Nelson Mandela.
Completed about three years ago, this impressive artwork was produced using the renowned Lost Wax Process, a traditional and intricate bronze-casting technique.
Karel has devoted his life to the arts, specialising in sculpture, and this outstanding piece is a wonderful testament to his creativity, skill, and lifelong passion for artistic expression.
