This year our first batch of Mandela Day ‘Jars of Hope’ were distributed to a special team at one of the Macassar soup kitchens. Well done and thank you to all the HSFA residents and staff who kindly collected ingredients and bottles and packed the jars for the initiative! Our residents who represented the HSFA were Mrs Hester Schoeman, Mr Frans van Eeden and Mrs Isobella Tilley from Robari Lodge and Mrs Marie Griebenauw from Vonke. The distribution was arranged through the collaboration of NPOs: Out the Box, Debbie Myburgh Nurse from D-Health, Elizabeth Adams from Macassar Outreach and Waseemah Flaendorp and Keith Eksteen from Freedom of Speech Ward109 and I AM….
