HSFA and our knitting champions

The HSFA has several volunteer teams of eager residents knitting in chatty groups making numerous knitted squares, jerseys, scarves, beanies and dolls. These will be donated to needy communities, especially with the winter months looming ahead. Our residents have asked for the Somerset Community to please support their efforts by donating balls of “Double Wool”. Should you wish to assist, please drop off at HSFA Security Gate, 121 Lourensford Road. We will ensure they are distributed to our kind residents to continue their knitting activities. #knitting #somersetwest #somersetwes

Our HSFA Frail Care residents enjoyed a surprise treat with Helderberg Sunrise Rotary Club members serving delicious scones and eclairs at teatime! They also all received a gift of hand cream. Thank you to our wonderful Volunteer team that support the HSFA with their efforts in the charity shop, kiosk, gardens, with art classes, reading, talk groups and so much more! We applaud your talents and warm hearts. Thanks to Shireen van Reenen our Social Worker and Community Manager who manages the Volunteer programme and who also arranged a lovely champagne breakfast for the team!
