There were lots of Mandela Day smiles at the HSFA today! The blankets and food received from our community as well as from the Keep Cape Town Warm Campaign were distributed to our units at our HSFA Service Centre at Garden Village as well as to those residents with no financial or family support at our Frail Care and Assisted Living units. Thank you again The Community Chest of the Western Cape and GOOD HOPE FM for choosing the Helderberg Society for the Aged as a beneficiary. #MandelaDay2024

Thank you for the heart-warming and generous effort by the HSFA Knitting groups! The act of creating beautiful jerseys, hats, and blankets for premature babies shows not only their knitting skills but also their immense compassion and empathy for those in need. The residents and staff of the HSFA have been doing their 67 minutes making Jars of Hope (nutritious soup mixes) for the less fortunate, and have been busy setting up decorations for Mandela Day lunches at selected units.
